Well to clarify, it doesn’t have to be tacos, it can be anything “outside the box”. We have always heard from our brides “is that weird?” and we always respond with “there is no normal in weddings anymore”. That isn’t to say that gone are the days of served dinners. The classic served dinner will never go out of style, but why not be yourself? Why not put together all of your favorite foods for one of the biggest days of your life!?
MEMORIES… They are what you make them, so let’s make them wonderful! Below are some of the coolest/weird/different and fabulous menu items that we have brought to life for our brides and grooms!
Fresh fruits, marinated vegetables, and decadent cheese displays are quickly taking the place of passed hors d’oeuvres. This is due in part to the health trends and specialty diets that we see talked about on Pinterest! Add a fresh fruited-water station and you will have a hit on your hands!
Taco Stations – Sautéed shrimp or flavorful steak and chicken accompanied by absolutely every topping you can think of for THE PERFECT TACO! Add a station where guests can get a margarita shot rimmed with salt or sugar to help spice up the party!
Mash-tini Bar – Yes, mashed potatoes served in a long-stemmed martini glass with guests’ choice of toppings. What about a “Carved to Order Beef Tenderloin Station” with a variety of sauces? These options offer guests that down-home feeling, but with a modern kick that will please everyone from your grandma to your ring bearer!
Brinner… that is not a typo. We have all heard of brunch, but what about breakfast for dinner? I mean, why not breakfast for dinner? After all, it is the most important meal of the day! From the “Chef-manned Pancake Bar” to the “Chef-manned Omelette Bar”, what more could you want? To mix things up, you can throw on some sautéed shrimp and cheese grits, but certainly don’t forget the bacon! Your guests will be in HEAVEN! Add on a Bloody Mary Bar or a Mimosa Bar and you have the perfect event!
What is dinner without desserts? Traditional cakes and your old-fashioned chocolate fountains are still great, but why not a “ceremonial cake” for the bride and groom to cut and then a petite sweets bar? Tiny cheesecakes, shot glass desserts, and mini crème brulee… OH MY! Don’t forget the “Donut & Gourmet Coffee Bar”, dress it up with chocolate shavings, coffee flavorings, sprinkles, and whipped cream and you will be so very popular!
Goodnight Sweetheart, it’s “ALMOST” time to go………..
Late Night Snacks… we can all agree that the hustle and bustle of the day and the drinking can catch up with you and your guests. So why don’t you finish the night with a “Slider and a Mini Milkshake Bar”, “Cookies and Milk”, or a “Mini Root Beer Float and French Fries? All fan favorites for your biggest fans!
Just remember; there is no normal, there is no weird, and there is no way to do it wrong! Be YOU, it is YOUR day!
